What is HYROX?

HYROX is a standardised indoor fitness race. The format is the same in every city, every year: an 8 × 1 km run alternated with 8 functional workout stations. Same distances, same weights, same order — so your time in Manchester is directly comparable to your time in Madrid.

The format

8 runs, 8 stations: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls. Run a kilometre between each.

The divisions

Singles, Doubles, or Mixed Relay. Open (anyone) or Pro (heavier weights). Age-group rankings on top of that. Finish rate is ~98% — there is no time cap.

Why the FOMO

Every elite finish at a major city race is a qualifier for the World Championships. Tickets sell out in hours. Cutoffs get faster every season.

The sell-out problem is official

16,000 slots, 70,000+ applicants — F45 HYROX London 2024 was 4.4× oversubscribed

The demand for HYROX last year was incredible but we recognise that many athletes missed out on the opportunity to race at their preferred events, so we wanted to help fix that this season.

Frequently Asked Questions

+What is HYROX?

HYROX is a standardised indoor fitness race: eight 1-kilometre runs alternated with eight functional workout stations (SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges, wall balls). Because the format is identical at every city race worldwide, your finish time is directly comparable across editions and years. The format runs in Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Relay, in Open or Pro tier, with age-group rankings on top. The finish rate is around 98% — there is no time cap.

+When does HYROX 2026 registration open?

Registration opens on a city-by-city schedule, not a single global date. The 2025/26 season runs through summer 2026 and includes 100+ events. We track ticket-status changes daily for every published city — see the full ranker at /events to find which races are still open, which are filling fast, and which have already sold out. Once 2026/27 dates are announced, every new event will appear in the same tracker.

+Which HYROX races sell out fastest?

Birmingham UK has been the standout — its 2024 edition sold out in minutes after tickets went live, with a third race date added to absorb demand. New York sold out in 40 minutes. F45 HYROX London ran a ballot in 2024 because demand was 4.4× the available 16,000 slots. Tampa, Manchester, and Hamburg followed the same pattern in 2025/26. Our sell-out risk ranker on this page ranks every 2026 race by how fast it's filling.

+What time do I need to qualify for the HYROX World Championships?

Qualifying cutoff times vary by city, gender, age group, and division — and they get faster every season as the sport grows. We track historic qualifying cutoffs for each major city's prior edition, so you can see the time you'd have needed last year to make Worlds in your division this year.
